Bay Bridge Field Trip
On Wednesday July 24, starting at 12pm, we will look at the new eastern Bay Bridge span. The tour starts with a short video presentation about the new East Span, its fabrication and seismic innovations. It then continues with a boat ride underneath the existing bridge and the new span. The total duration of the tour is approximately two hours.
This fieldtrip is limited to 25 people, and Chapter members have priority. It will last approximately 2 hours total.
Meet at the Bay Bridge Public Information Office, 311 Burma Road, Oakland, CA 94607.
In the event of rain or high wind speeds, the tour will be cancelled.
