    Synopsis:
A musical comedy embracing every father’s nightmare! Wednesday Addams, known for her love of darkness, has fallen in love with a sweet man from a seemingly respectable and ordinary family. She confides in her father and now Gomez must do the unthinkable – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Uncle Fester calls upon the ghosts of the family’s ancestors to make sure love prevails on the night the two families finally meet. What could go wrong?

    Characters:
    GOMEZ ADDAMS – 30s-50s - tenor/baritone
A suave man who takes immense pride in his family and all it means to be an Addams. He's trapped between his daughter and his wife, forced to keep Wednesday’s secret from Morticia. A strong comedic role. Dancing and a Spanish accent a plus!

    MORTICIA ADDAMS – 30s-50s - Alto/mezzo
Attractive, strong-willed woman who values truth and honesty above all else. She feels her husband is hiding something from her and will use any tactic to lure the secret out. She is confident, sexy, with a strong dry wit. Tango skills are a plus!

    WEDNESDAY ADDAMS – 18-20s - Pop Soprano/Mezzo
Wednesday is a girl who has the same dry wit and sensibility of her mother and the big heart of her father. She finds love with a “normal” boy (Lucas) and wants to introduce his family to her strange one. She is darkly comedic and should have a killer dead-pan. Strong belt!

    UNCLE FESTER – 30s-60s – tenor/baritone
That one awkward family member who serves as the musical’s narrator. He’s larger than life; an energetic, joyous, child-like presence. Vaudeville-style Comedian with great timing and a “kooky” energy.

    PUGSLEY ADDAMS – 13-20s - Alto
A funny and sometimes annoying young boy who loves being tortured by his sister. He wants to ensure he won’t lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takes matters into his own hands. Strong, high vocals.

    LUCAS BEINEKE – 18-20s – tenor
Fell in love with Wednesday Addams and plans to marry her. Experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love and struggles with the differences between his family and the Addams family. Lucas is a ‘normal guy’ who's a little dorky.

    MAL BEINEKE – 30s-50s – high baritone/tenor
Stuffy father of Lucas and cold-shouldered husband to his rhyming Stepford wife, Alice. At one time was a follower of a grungy, dark band, but has lost that side of himself and has become a stereotypical businessman. Very much the “straight man” for most of the play.

    ALICE BEINEKE - Soprano
Mother of Lucas and devoted to her family. Alice is a quirky female who often speaks in
rhymes and presents herself as reserved. She lets out her wild side with the Addams family though. Very strong comedic actress with a strong high belt.

    GRANDMA – 40s-70s - Character vocals
    Comedic actress
She’s one feisty old woman. Fun and quirky, but don’t mess with her. Grandma often schemes with Pugsley and offers advice when needed. She’s more of an oddball than a typical, comforting grandmother figure. Great comedic timing and physicality.

LURCH – Any - strong bass
The Addams butler who knows all, but says less. He speaks in moans and groans. Must have great facial expressions and tell a story with their face and groans.

ADDAMS ANCESTORS – 13 and up – All vocal ranges
Ancestors of the Addams family from various eras. They serve as the chorus, help tell the story, offer advice and interact with the characters throughout the play. They will sing and dance throughout the show as well as contribute to the world of the play with their characters. Looking for strong physicality and various vocal ranges. Strong dancers are a plus!
