VegFest LA (5/5)
VegFest LA will be holding their annual vegan festival on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at 6076 Woodley Avenue, Encino, CA 91316. They are in need of volunteers!
From the person requesting help:
I’m looking to build a team to help. It would be great to have a few people work with me through the day to make things easy for all of us. It’s not a difficult job but I do need people who know their way around a smartphone - we’ll be using Eventbrite Organizer to check people in.
VegFest L.A. Volunteer shifts usually run about 4 hours but this may vary as I hear the check-in slows down later in the day. For those who do a shift, we have a food voucher and a festival t-shirt.
In addition, I need to know what time during the event the volunteers will be available (the event is from 9:30 to 6:30 pm). If volunteers are available the whole time range of the event, which is great, I will assign them a time range according to the event's needs.
And do not worry I will make sure they have time to go around and enjoy the event besides their role.
Please sign up if you are interested in volunteering for this event!

Day of Politics (10/19)
Day of Politics is an annual event at Pierce that takes place at the Great Hall that, as the name implies, is about politics. This year, there will be student debates, a UCLA transfer representative, Former Mayor Mike Fienstein, Assembly Member Matt Dababneh, and State Senator Henry Stern. Food and drinks will be provided.
AGS will be having a booth there for the Up to Us program. This program is run by Net Impact, a nonprofit organization, where different campuses compete to see who can draw the most attention on their respective campus to educate and inspire action pertaining to the national debt. In this program, AGS will help inform students about the national debt in a professional, nonpartisan manner and have them sign a pledge that will be collected and delivered to US Representatives, Senators, and other officials depending on the zip code.
