Teacher Appreciation Surprise
Our mission is to create a more peaceful space for our teachers when they need a break by transforming the small break room into a much more special space and stocking it with the kind of goodies found in a great workplace break room. Cash contributions will go towards bigger items such as shelving, furniture, paint. You can send in cash or check sealed with TEACHER appreciation on the label or via Paypal on the Polaris Education Site, note the reason for your donation in comments. We are trying to keep this as secretive as possible. Please bring in all donation items between Wednesday, April 19th and Monday, May 1st (school vacation in between) so we do not inundate the office with stuff for too long. We are trying to keep this a surprise so please knot or seal bags with donations and write TEACHER APPRECIATION on the bag so we can unpack it all at once (we know some things are hard to do this with, if you can't hide your item it is ok). When volunteering for sign up please take into consideration that several people will be in a small space and there will be chemicals, tools and sharp objects. Older children looking for service hours can certainly pitch in but projects for younger children will be limited. Please use your discretion and be committed to having eagles eyes of safety if bringing younger participants. We cannot allow children at the luncheon. If you would love to volunteer but the days don't work for you, feel free to e-mail when you would be available.
