Stories of diversity and inclusion can enrich a campus community and move the institution along the path to greater cultural understanding and competence. Microaggressions are described as brief and commonplace verbal, behavioral or environmental indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile, derogatory or negative slights and insults. This session will explore different themes, examples and implicit messages that generate conversations around other ways of thinking and communicating.
