    AUDITION DATES & TIMES:

    Auditions by Appointment – to schedule your appointment please make your selection using the form below. Audition slots will be 30-minute windows, and up to 7 people per slot.

    CALL BACKS: Tuesday, February 22 – 7:00 PM

    AUDITION LOCATION:
    Salem United Church of Christ
    9717 S. Kostner Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL

    AT THE AUDITIONS: Please come prepared to sing 16 to 32 bars of a musical theatre song of your choice. It does not need to be a song from the show. The song should show off your range & style. Please provide sheet music in the correct key for the provided accompanist. There will also be a required dance audition, so dress appropriately and wear appropriate shoes. Bring headshot and resume if available. Please be prepared to provide any prior conflicts/commitments you may have from February 28th through performance weekend (May 1). Thank you!

    COVID-19 SAFETY POLICIES: In keeping with City and County Mandates, proof of Covid full vaccination - including a booster, if eligible - is a requirement for casting in the show, except for those with medical exemptions, which must be proved. Appropriate COVID-19 rules will be in force for the auditions, rehearsals, and performances. Masking will be required at the auditions.

    The Beverly Theatre Guild is committed to diversity in casting. Age range - 16 years and up. All ages (16+) and types are invited.

    Roles to be cast:

    Elle Woods - The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality.

    Gender: Female
    Age: 18 to 25
    Vocal range - top: G5, bottom: Gb2

    Emmett Forrest - A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly.

    Gender: Male
    Age: 20 to 25
    Vocal range - top: A4, bottom: B2

    Paulette - A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself.

    Gender: Female
    Age: 35 to 45
    Vocal range - top: A5, bottom: A3

    Professor Callahan - A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral.

    Gender: Male
    Age: 45 to 55
    Vocal range - top: F#4, bottom: A2

    Warner Huntington III - A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart and heads off to Harvard Law.

    Gender: Male
    Age: 20 to 25
    Vocal range - top: Ab4, bottom: Eb3

    Vivienne Kensington - A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner's fiancée who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.

    Gender: Female
    Age: 20 to 25
    Vocal range - top: F5, bottom: A3

    Brooke Wyndam - An exercise video mogul who is also a former sorority girl. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.

    Gender: Female
    Age: 25 to 35
    Vocal range - top: G5, bottom: A3

    Ensemble - Greek Chorus; Students; Delta Nu Members (adults)

    REHEARSALS:

    For the most part, until tech week, rehearsals will be Sundays 1:00 to 5:00pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00 to 10:00pm, at Salem Church

    There may be added day/evening rehearsals if needed. Subject to change based on cast availability.

    PRODUCTION DATES: Friday, April 29, 7:30 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2:00 PM & 7:30 pm, Sunday, May 1, 2:00pm

    PRODUCTION LOCATION: Tech week rehearsals and all performances will take place at-

    Some of the cast may also be asked to perform in the South Side Irish Parade, March 13.
