Soup Dumpling Kits 12/11/20
On Friday, December 11th we will be staging a Soup Dumpling Meal Kit distribution from 12-4! Please sign up below if you are interested, availability of kits is limited!
Soup dumplings, or xiao long bao, are pork dumplings mixed with aspic (gelatinized broth) - which melts inside of the dumpling when they are steamed so each dumpling is full of soup! We encourage you to use a steamer if you can, but if you do not have a steamer and are feeling intrepid kit instructions will describe several workarounds using common kitchen items to improvise a steamer.
Kits will contain 50 wrappers (half of which can be saved for a future dumpling project in the fridge or freezer), filling for approximately 2 dozen dumplings, along with cabbage, microgreens, persimmons, and sesame dressing for an accompanying salad.
Masks are required for entry into the Cowell Coffee Shop. Please observe social distancing markers and practices while picking up your kits.
